Happy Hour, October 6, 2006

Well Gang, I am flying high off the experience of opening for Buffy Saint Marie. You can read all about it in my column this Saturday in the Halifax Daily News. Denise and I picked her up at the air port on Friday night and then I took her to have some clams at John's lunch. It was amazing. Attached see a picture of her and I at the air port - hard to believe she is 65!!

Pink Dog Productions is shooting the pilot for The Candy Show in front of a live studio audience at the Chester Play House on November 19. Special guests will include Neville Mackay of My Mother's Bloomers fame, Ben Proudfoot (a 14 year old whiz kid magician) and local sketch comedy troupe Pic Nic Face. My musical guest will be the ECMA award winning singer/song writer Charlie A'Court. Charlie will be just returning from his latest tour in Germany and will be promoting his new CD which will drop in November. Stay tuned for information on how to get tickets.

This week we are trying something new: The French Quarter. This is a Nawlins-inspired spot that boasts being reminiscent of Moonlight on the Bayou. That means I should be able to get a wicked Hurricane. Last time I had a Hurricane, I was in our county's capital and ended up shooting "Italian Kiss" shooters with a guy named Manny - Tom, you should have some memory of that. The French Quarter is located at 171 Market street (where The Velvet Olive) used to be. See you there at 5:00. It is a Bon Voyage party for Wyatt's tonsils, which he will loose the following week!!

Don't forget the Trailer Park Boys movie drops this weekend - get out and support our local artists!! I plan to roll a big fatty and be the first in line at the box office!!
